Nielsen appointed exclusive agent for Book2Look sales
in the UK and other key english speaking territories

Nielsen Book today announced its agreement with Book2Look founder Ralph Möllers to take over responsibility for sales and management of this unique tool in the UK market.

Book2Look is already established in Germany and has over 400 clients such as, Diogenes, dtv, Springer, Kunstmann Verlag, Aufbau among others, so Nielsen is delighted to be taking on sales of this service to provide publishers a simple and economic solution to bring the content of their books to life.

The Book2Look ‘Biblet’ [book widget] allows book buyers, trade and consumers to see limited content of a book using a search-inside process and to share the content via social media, taking the books to a wider audience and increasing discoverability and purchase.

Simon Skinner, Sales Director, Nielsen BookData commented: “There are already a number of publishers using the service and seeing the benefits of having their content available in this form – allowing books to be potentially accessible to millions of buyers – which is what every publisher and author wants.”

Ralph Möllers of Book2Look commented on the new arrangement: “Book2Look is very proud to announce the co-operation with Nielsen BookData as a distribution partner in UK, Ireland and other English speaking countries around the world. This new partnership will make it really easy for their partners in the publishing industry to access one of the most powerful online marketing tools available.”

Skinner continues: "We have a number of publishers in the UK using the service, including Icon amongst others, and having the chance to extend this service to more publishers is a great opportunity for Nielsen BookData. Our newly re-structured publisher team is very excited about the service and looking forward to talking to publishers about how Book2Look ‘Biblets’ can enliven their catalogue, as well as their marketing and author sites. The ‘Biblets’ can be customised and provided to press contacts, bloggers as well as booksellers and online sites to allow maximum exposure to the consumer, there is so much potential for publishers of all sizes.“

Icon Books love Book2look
Andrew Furlow, Sales and Marketing Director, Icon B ooks adds: “We at Icon have loved using Book2Look widgets and, particularly with Mark Forsy th's The Etymologicon, our Book2Look sampler has so far been viewed 367,419 times, we've found them to be a useful marketing tool.”
