Minesoft launch quick analysis module for PatBase

The transformed Snapshot tool provides fast insights into your data and helps to focus searching for end-users

Leading patent solutions provider, Minesoft, has announced a new, quick snapshot analysis option in PatBase and PatBase Express, offering easy-to-understand visualisations that provide a reliable overview of a patenting field.

Snapshot is an ideal tool for end-users and is included in PatBase and PatBase Express subscriptions at no extra cost. The module samples up to 2000 results from a dataset and runs a quick analysis to produce an accurate visual representation of the search query. Analysis is available for legal status, technology area, company and jurisdiction. Users can toggle between bar chart, pie chart or table view; custom options are available.

The powerful, interactive interface revolutionises searching on the platform. Users can drill-down into the visualisations to re-run selections in PatBase, gaining a deeper insight into a search. If a more in-depth analysis is required, it is simple and quick to connect to PatBase AnalyticsV2 through the Snapshot module.

“Following the continued success of our updated, comprehensive Analytics module, we identified an opportunity for a new entry point for our users into Patent Statistical Analysis,” explains James Gray, Lead Developer at Minesoft. “Building on the lessons learned and following many of the rules and targets we set ourselves for PatBase AnalyticsV2, we developed Snapshot – a quick, easy but accurate and feature-rich ‘snapshot’ of your search data.”

Minesoft, which has offices in the UK, USA and Germany, has developed a suite of patent solutions that help many Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 companies exploit the intelligence found in the most comprehensive source of ideas available – patents.

Flagship product, PatBase, was launched in partnership with RWS in 2003 and has since gone on to attract over 50,000 users worldwide, from the best-known names in industry as well as leading patent-litigating law firms, academic institutions, national patent offices and patent search firms. PatBase is renowned globally for it’s high quality, comprehensive data and cutting-edge search and analysis functionalities.
