ProQuest Launches ProQuest One™ Academic

World’s most comprehensive multidisciplinary resource is the first step in an ongoing initiative
to enable libraries to embrace the future of research, teaching and learning.

At the American Library Association’s Midwinter Conference, ProQuest launches the first product in its ProQuest One™ initiative, a series of solutions that will enable libraries to serve broad, evolving learning and research mandates faster and more powerfully, ultimately improving outcomes for their institutions.

ProQuest One debuts with the launch of the ProQuest One Academic product: the world’s most comprehensive interdisciplinary destination for research, teaching and learning. This pioneering resource unifies more than 250 years of curated content across journals, ebooks, video, dissertations, newspapers and more, covering 175+ subjects, organizing it within a single experience to improve research outcomes and teaching workflows.

The UX of ProQuest One Academic is designed to support the unique needs of students and faculty. These users will experience a more streamlined workflow, with simpler organization of content that reduces the frustration and time spent of toggling between screens and tabs. And since ProQuest Academic covers the breadth of the curriculum, librarians benefit as well by gaining back time once spent managing multiple products

Content in ProQuest One Academic is best-in-class, encompassing:

  • The spectrum of resources – scholarly journals, news, magazines and more – in the ProQuest Central™ database
  • Every ebook in the Academic Complete® collection
  • The nearly 5 million graduate works in the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global™ database
  • The 66,000 streaming videos included in the Academic Video Online collection

The user experience of ProQuest One Academic, designed for all levels of academic research, enables the content sets in each resource to work together seamlessly, driving more insightful and contextual knowledge discovery.

“We are laser-focused on developing solutions to improve research, teaching and learning outcomes for our customers,” said Rafael Sidi, General Manager and Senior Vice President, ProQuest Information Solutions. “ProQuest One Academic is a great example of our strategy to put customers at the center of everything we do and help them achieve their goals. It will resolve their pain points in the research process by delivering the most authoritative, varied and cross-disciplinary content they need, seamlessly in one platform, saving them valuable time.”
