Minesoft launches new IP collaboration tool, IPShare

Minesoft, a leading online solutions provider for the Intellectual Property (IP) sector, has announced the release of a brand-new online application suitable for Patent Attorney firms, Patent Search firms and other IP professionals. The new software makes it easy for IP professionals to collaborate, share data & insights with clients or end users, and utilise a secure, centralised location for all their prior art or other patent and non-patent literature

IPShare combines quality-checked comprehensive data with high-level features. Users can store, review, rank, highlight and organise patent documents and non-patent literature on an easy-to-use and fully web-based platform which can be accessed from anywhere in the world. IPShare has adapted the use of high-quality patent data – once only available in Minesoft’s web-based solutions for high-stakes professional searching, legal status monitoring and competitive intelligence tools – into a document management & collaboration tool.

Functionalities include chat messages & annotations on a document-by-document basis, and labelling and highlighting sets for each project. An IPShare Project is an exportable collection of patents and non-patent literature, with no hard limit on the number of documents that can be stored in a project. Clients can be assigned to projects to view ongoing work, with permission levels completely customisable so they can only view the areas that you want them to.

In addition, as with other Minesoft solutions it is easy to share vital information (even with non-users!). IPShare offers a complete export option where an entire project (with full text patent documents and all!) can be exported as an Excel file. Alternatively, a less detailed summary of the project can be exported if preferred.

“More than ever, IPShare puts power in the hands of our clients, making it easy for project teams to share innovation insight and collaborate across a Business Unit locally or indeed, globally. We believe it matches the trend in current business practice and also provides an ideal way for IP Lawyers to communicate with their end clients securely.”

Minesoft, which has offices in the UK, USA and Germany, has developed a suite of patent solutions that help many Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 companies exploit the intelligence found in the most comprehensive source of ideas available – patents.

Founded in 1996, the company offers an array of products for the patent information industry, specialising in patent searching, IP document retrieval, patent analytics and competitive intelligence systems. Minesoft was awarded the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2009 and again in 2015 for its impressive, sustained growth in International Trade. A testament to the company’s ongoing innovation and work to meet the needs of its fast-growing global client base through an international customer support network, tailored training and a range of essential resources.
